eLogic Learning User Pricing Models

The success of any client engagement is based on our ability to align our business with your company’s learning objectives and business goals. We have developed 5 pricing models for you to review and determine which works best for your company’s overall learning strategy.

Active User License model – This method of pricing is the most common pricing model and is atypical to internal or continual user groups. It is usually based on a cost per user per month and can be applicable for training as a cost of doing business or a revenue source. It is usually in a Business to Business environment. As an example, 500 users at $4.00 per user per month is $2,000 per month. We would see this relevant to your internal (employee) user group as well as your clients. We believe you should consider having your users on a continual user basis for many reasons including Risk Avoidance, Compliance, Product Knowledge, OSHA, Customer Service, Business Acceleration, Sales as well as Certification and CEU. The information necessary would be the initial number of users necessary and the “ramp” of users to be added over the future terms. This would allow eLogic to align volume discounts with increasing user counts up to an unlimited or perpetual user license. Typical companies who’ve adopted this model are Manufacturers for product education for distributors and dealers, safety and  compliance, Insurance and Financial companies for compliance and employee/broker development and clients, Power companies for safety and compliance, Health Care for HIPPA, CEU and Certifications, Distributors for safety, dealer education and DOT compliance, and Transportation for safety and DOT compliance.

Registration Model – This method of pricing is based on per course registrations and not application users and is atypical for business models that utilize “training as a product” and almost exclusively uses our ecommerce functionality and single sign on access. As an example, a user accesses your Learning Academy via your website or direct access, signs up for a course on Microsoft Office 2010 and pays via credit card. The user has access to the course until completion or however the course is established (upon a score of a 90% or better) and the cost would be per unique registration.  In addition to the Per Course Cost per Registration, the structure typically includes a minimum base monthly fee. We typically utilize this to align to retail or revenue models as it assures a user variable cost structure above a base minimum fee.

Associations, Non Profits, Real Estate, Verticals such as Software Developers and Management firms who provide support services are typical organizations that offer training on line for a fee and use this model as a revenue generator.

Unique User Login Model – This method of pricing is based on unique logins and is atypical for users whom will require access to the application for a period of time. As an example, a user requires application access for 90 days to do annual product training for a fee per Unique Login. If the user accesses the application after the 90 day term, that would initiate another 90 days of application access and another fee per Unique Login.  In addition to the cost per Unique Login for a time period, the structure typically includes a minimum number of users during that time period as well. An example would be 1500 users a month or 4500 a quarter. We utilize this to align to retail or revenue models as it assures a user variable cost structure above a base minimum fee. Any organization that has a casual user base they would need to educate. Non Profits, Manufacturers, Associations all benefit from this type of model.

Location Subscription Model – This method of pricing is based retail organizations where we charge the client a specific dollar amount per location for 12 months of usage.  We do not limit the number of users they have in a location nor do we limit any usage of those users.  We charge when the location is created and then 12 months later, we charge annually if the location is still active for a renewal.  This model works well for organizations like a restaurant or retailer with minimal employees per location where they have multiple locations around the country and a high turnover in the individual business units which can cause a challenge always updating the user base so this provides the location access to the course information for a year no matter how many employees are swapped in and out of the system. FDA, Food Handling and Alcohol Safety training are an example of how the hospitality industry might use it. It also works for management companies or software companies like a manufacturer who has to train its clients on how to use their product in their businesses.

Perpetual User License model – This is where a client buys the LMS software from us and they install it on their own hardware/datacenter at their location.  They can buy an unlimited amount of users or a specific set or group of users.  We would be able to control with a VPN into their company to access the software. This model is typically used for international companies where there may be different laws they govern their business by and need it contained inside their companies’ firewalls or in another country. Larger organizations with interstate and international representation may require hosting and managing the information themselves as well.
