Top 10 eLearning Fears tip for the month of June

The Fear of Abandoning the Traditional Classroom training model.

“Our employees can’t learn unless they’re in a classroom.”  Some managers may believe that employees don’t have the discipline to learn alone and that instructors in classrooms are needed to “ensure” that people learn.  In fact, no one learns anything that he or she doesn’t want to learn.  If there is no intrinsic motivation to learn the content of a course, learning won’t happen.  In the classroom, not all students will feel that content is delivered at just the right level and pace.  Frustration can negatively affect motivation to learn.  Good e-learning allows learners to immerse themselves in what they need to know and to bypass knowledge they already have, keeping them motivated and the learning process efficient.
